Monday Live Trial Therapies in ISTDP to Assess Emotional Factors in Physical Illness Time:
Monday, 3:00-5:00PM
We
will continue providing a training experience in the Trial Therapy
Method of ISTDP. This method has a growing empirical basis including
recently published research from our department and a Metaanalysis
in process both showing good and lasting effects across a broad
range of somatic and psychiatric symptoms disorders. These
interviews are conducted live and viewed via closed circuit for

This is particularly relevant to family physicians, residents, psychiatry clerks, and psychotherapists using diverse treatment models. For

Tailored SeminarsThe center is very interested in meeting the learning needs of specific professional groups within and outside of the Capital Health system. We provide videotape based seminars, workshops and supervision geared to learners from different theoretical backgrounds and different professions. We also have modules developed for each medical specialty. Please contact Allan Abbass to arrange these programs. Small Group Videotape SupervisionSupervision is provided to those who have basic grounding in the model through attending at least one seminar series, and who are recording their own clinic work for self directed learning and supervision.
